Evidence serves a wide variety of purposes in carrying out our Christian faith-based duties.

  • Defending Faith. Against attacks by skeptics, we have both Scriptural and practical duties to defend the factual truth and historic foundations (such as eyewitness testimony, manuscript integrity, and external corroboration) of the Scriptures. See Our Mission and Courses page.
  • Making Disciples. Evidence may also serve vital purposes in carrying out the Great Commission and making disciples by: (1) clearing factual misunderstandings and obstacles to faith; (2) leading skeptics to the historical truth in the Scriptures; and (3) addressing doubts and fears of believers. See Our Mission, Courses, and the Testimony section of the site (particularly the examples in Faith Testimonials).

This “Evidence” Section tackles three key evidentiary issues.
